Sport arrives in our Off Campuses: we wait for you on May 14th, May 21st, and May 28th for a chess lesson, held by the Chess Association of Politecnico di Milano, in collaboration with the Ciresola Parents Association, and dedicated to primary school children. Where? In our Off Campus Nolo, inside the Municipal Market.
WHAT is an OFF CAMPUS?
Off Campus is an initiative promoted by the University with the aim of strengthening the presence of Politecnico in the city of Milan and the idea of a more responsible university, attentive to social challenges, open to the territories and communities. Politecnico promotes innovative teaching activities, responsible research and co-planning with local entities to implement interventions with a positive impact on the community; services to the territory and neighborhoods are also activated and a cultural and educational offer aimed at the local communities is promoted.
Today there are four active spaces in four different contexts: in the Nolo district, in the San Vittore prison, in the Cascina Nosedo, at the entrance to the Parco Agricolo Sud, and in the San Siro district.
The Nolo Off Campus will be the host of the second of the 4 events of the “SPORT @OFF CAMPUS” series, in which Politecnico di Milano brings sports activities within these urban hubs. On Tuesday 14 May , Tuesday 21 May and Tuesday 28 May the space inside the covered Municipal Market of Nolo will host a fantastic chess lesson dedicated to primary school children. The lesson will be held by the president of the Chess Association of Politecnico di Milano and will include a theoretical introduction followed by a gaming session. The event is organized in collaboration with the Ciresola Parents Association.

Off Campus Cascina Nosedo will host the second event of the “SPORT @OFF CAMPUS” series, an initiative through which the Politecnico brings sports into these urban hubs. On Wednesday, July 9, the renovated Cascina Nosedo space will welcome 50 young participants from the Giuriati Sports Center summer camps for an immersive experience combining physical activity, environmental education, and social interaction. Through games, tours, and workshops, they will discover the importance of caring for the environment, being active outdoors, and having fun together.
MEETING POINT AND START:
- 10:00 — Meeting and departure from the Giuriati Sports Center
- Visit to VITO, the social nursery for ecological transition (Bioloop Factory).
MORNING:
NATURE EXPERIENCE
- Demonstration of sapling transplanting in collaboration with Italia Nostra.
- Active participation in the care and protection of the environment.
EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITY
- Interactive mini-lesson on:
- Rainwater dynamics.
- Interaction of water with the soil.
- Educational models from the DROPS project.
AFTERNOON:
GIOCHI DI SQUADRA
- Outdoor activities to encourage movement and social interaction:
- Dogball.
- Competitive Capture the Flag.
COME BACK IN
- 15:30 – 16:00 — Return to the Giuriati Sports Center.
